Position Overview
We are looking to hire a Tendering and Estimating Electrical Engineer to generate precise and efficient cost estimates for UK-based projects. Reporting to the Tendering and Estimating Manager, the key duties include preparing tenders and quotations and securing orders related to our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to analyse and interpret detailed clients’ requests, drawings and/or specifications
- Identify valued engineered solutions
- Develop accurate and timely estimates, produce clear and detailed quotations
- Attending pre- and post-tender bid meetings with clients and/or their representatives
- Work under deadline pressures in an efficient, composed, and calm manner
- Ability to develop and build good working relationships with clients
- Identify and develop new customers
- Identify new suppliers and contractors to improve safety, performance, and profit

Essential qualifications & attributes
HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Knowledge of LV, HV & EHV distribution networks and protection systems
Civil Engineering/Utilities experience
Commercial awareness
Full UK driving license
Desirable qualification & attributes
Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
Chartered Engineer status
Customer and subcontractor negotiations skills
HV & LV design
CDM
Experience in the utility construction industry with a complete understanding of gas, water, and electric distribution infrastructures
