Test Engineer

SmartPro are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our client based in Swansea. Working in the Development Department, you will organise, build and test new and modified products to the test specifications and methods defined by the development engineers.Responsibilities of the Test Engineer:Performing component and device testing in line with the test specifications and methods defined by the development engineers.Assisting in the design, procurement and assembly of prototype devices.Providing detailed test reports to feedback to the development team.Assist in developing and validating new test methods.Perform development testing on new products as well as verification of individual components within the product.Perform calibration of products and test equipment within the organisation.Requirements of the Test Engineer:You should have a degree or HNC/D in an engineering discipline, ideally in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering.Industry experience in a suitable engineering company with experience of technical report writing and excellent IT skills is ideal.Comfortable with using electronic test equipment for repair and troubleshooting.Soldering skills and some experience with writing/using code is ideal, i.e. Arduino (API) and MATLAB.Capable of working independently on projects with minimal supervision and possess good skills for ‘hands-on’ work.What you will get:Attractive starting salary between £30,000 - £35,000 DOEPermanent Contract with career progression planExcellent company package including workplace pension, life assurance, product discounts and healthcare plan.Join us as a Test Engineer to contribute your expertise in ensuring the quality of our software products while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
