Textile Designer

My client is a family ran business and are part of a larger group that originate from the Pakistan textile industry, with over 50 years’ experience within the textile industry they are continuing to challenge themselves and push for excellence with all products they produce. Due to an exciting period of growth, they are now looking for an experienced Textile Designer to join their home textile design team. You will be tasked with creating designs for the UK printed bed linen market.

Blackburn
£28,000 - £32,000 DOE, 23 days holiday plus Bank holidays and Nest Pension.

Working in the office 4 days a week with 1 day WFH.

Hours – 9am – 5pm

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Creating designs based on clients’ requirements.
• Working to tight deadlines at high qualities.
• Creating trend boards based on market research.
• Visiting clients and exhibitions both within UK and overseas.
• Comp shops, market research and range analysis for bedding.
• Supporting other parts of the office team when required to do so.

To apply you MUST have or hold:

• Experience in hand painting skills in multiple styles and techniques.
• Knowledge of Office 365 is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent criteria for colour, pattern and composition.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Have knowledge of AVA Software, Photoshop, Illustrator. (Procreate would be advantageous)
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
