TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator - Leicester

Location: Thurmaston, Leicester
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30 | Friday: 07:30 – 12:00
Overtime: Available at x1.5 hourly rate

About the Role:

Our client, a specialist in metal pressing, precision toolmaking, and other metalworking services based in Leicester, is looking to expand their team due to increased workloads. They are recruiting for a TIG/MIG Welder Fabricator with the opportunity for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

• TIG and MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• Reading and interpreting welding and fabrication drawings
• Marking out, sawing, drilling, shearing, and fettling
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed
• Assisting with other tasks as requested by management

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding (mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium)
• Experience in metal fabrication
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision

Desirable Skills (Not Essential):

• Experience programming robotic welding cells
• Experience in laser welding
