TIG Welder

TIG Welder, �27040 - �31200 per annum, Overtime, Permanent, 28 days leave

Our client is based in Shepshed although they operate throughout the Midlands providing bespoke welding, machining and general fabrication services. They are looking to employ a skilled TIG welder who will also assist with the general engineering side - training will be provided.

In your role you will need to be able to work on your own initiative to Engineering drawings and tight tolerances, to fabricate components and solutions as per the agreed Engineering design brief. The ability to follow this design brief is essential, as is working within an Engineering team to resolve manufacturing difficulties.

The ideal TIG Welder will be and have:

• Working to engineered drawings, you will fabricate products as per the design brief.
• Communicate with the Head of Research and Development any issues that arise, so that a collective decision can be made on the way forward as part of the development project.
• Submit overall findings for review.
• Assist, where required, with the handover to mainstream production once a product has been approved.

Requirements of a TIG Welder:

• High experienced in a fabrication role.
• Experience in TIG welding. Up to 3mm Stainless Steel is essential.
• Knowledge and experience of CNC Brake Press, power rolls, cutting, shearing, rolling and press would be an advantage.
• Must be precise with the ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and fabricate design brief.
• Ability to work from own initiative, but equally communicate when a problem arises for a collective solution to be identified as part of the development project.
• Capable of working to deadlines, and sometimes under pressure, without jeopardising quality

Location: Shepshed Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: �27040 - �31200 per annum, overtime
