A global manufacturer of a wide range of high-quality products for the aerospace and defence sectors, are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join their well established team. They have a superb manufacturing facility, and a diverse team of highly skilled engineers, all working to the same goal of achieving manufacturing excellence. This position offers an hourly rate of �17.72, increasing to �18.45 after training, overtime, generous bonus scheme, 33 days holiday, 7.5% pension, and much more
Responsibilities for the TIG Welder include -
- TIG Welding of high value Nimonic, Inconel and Nickel Alloy materials
- Welding of sheet, tube and section together, following customer drawings
- Full inspection of all welds to ensure it passes Aerospace standards
- Using a range of hand and air tools for assembly and finishing processes
- Working from detailed customer drawings and job specification sheets
- Completing all necessary job route cards and batch sheets correctly
To be successful in the role of TIG Welder, we're looking for -
- Previous experience of TIG Welding of products ideally within Aerospace, Defence, or MOD sectors
- Be able to demonstrate a number of delicate welding techniques, working with extremely thin gauge material from 0.5mm in thickness
- Ability to interpret and understand customer drawings, dimensions and tolerances
- Experience with inspection of own work to required quality standards
