Tooling Engineer

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Tooling Engineer to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time engineering role is based in Telford and offers a favourable salary and benefits.

As a Tooling Engineer, you will own and deliver all new Tooling projects and review and buy-off Tooling designs and will be proficient in basic 3D designing of Tools using SolidWorks or Catia

To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Review and buy-off Tooling designs
• Project-manage tooling suppliers
• support manufacturing, quality and engineering activities.
• Involved with Part and Tooling CAD models using SolidWorks or CATIA and produce 2D product, tooling, fixture, equipment drawings

To apply for this Tooling Engineer role, you must be proficient with 2D and 3D CAD Software SolidWorks and Catia, although not to the standard of a Tool Design Engineer

In addition you will have previous automotive and FEA/ MAGMA experience as well as the following:

• ONC/HNC Apprenticeship or equivalent either in Mechanical or Tool Making
• Six sigma / Root Cause Analysis / Lean Manufacturing experience
• DFMEA and PFMEA previous Automotive experience
