Job Summary:
The Toolmaker is responsible for maintaining and repairing injection mould tools to ensure they are fit for purpose. Provide machine shop support for site engineering and production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Toolmaker must repair and service moulds, jigs, fixtures, and extruder parts to meet production standards.
- Manufacture spare parts from drawings or by measuring existing parts.
- Polish parts and moulds to meet the company's quality standards.
- Inspect and ensure compatibility of externally manufactured components.
- Maintain sub-contracted moulds and ensure all equipment is safe and reliable.
- The Toolmaker must perform and record periodic PPM checks.
- Train other technicians and attend relevant training courses.
- Adhere to safety practices and report potential issues.
- Minimize material wastage and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- The Toolmaker must Comply with ISO 9000 quality standards and company health and safety policies.
- Support 5S activities and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Work responsibly, flexibly, and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Fulfill any reasonable requests to achieve job objectives.
