My client specialises in providing high-quality planning and development services. We work on a diverse range of projects, from residential developments to commercial and mixed-use spaces, always with a focus on sustainable and community-focused solutions.

The Role of Town Planner will typically include undertaking policy and planning history research, preparing strategies for securing planning permissions and associated planning applications, writing design and access statements, and planning statements, negotiating with officers and dealing directly with clients and other consultants. As part of the team, you will:

• Lead and manage planning applications and projects.
• Advise clients on planning policies, strategies, and regulations.
• Work alongside a talented team of professionals to deliver successful development projects.
• Contribute to the growth and revitalization of Shropshire and beyond.

Candidate Requirements:

• A degree in Town Planning or a related field (MRTPI status is desirable but not essential).
• Strong understanding of local and national planning policies.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for creating vibrant, sustainable communities.
• Previous experience in a planning role, ideally private sector.
