Our customer, a multinational professional services company is looking for a Project/ Program Manager with experience in Export Controls & Trade Compliance to lead on Strategic Legal Projects.This is an exciting opportunity to take on the role of Global Transformation Lead under the Global Legal Director of Trade Compliance. In this role, you will focus on developing a long-term strategy, leading transformation efforts, managing specific projects, and assisting in designing and implementing a new target operating model.Job Duties:Enhancing team operational efficiency by continuously improving the program management office, including business planning, status reporting, tracking risks, issues, and dependencies, and coordinating operational activities outside of change initiatives.Taking charge of projects to develop and implement the target operating model for the Global Trade Compliance Team, encompassing People, Processes, Technology, and Policies.Collaborating with the Legal Director and other senior stakeholders within their team to grasp their transformation goals and offer strategic solutions that align with their requirements.Overseeing various projects led by Internal Leads, Outside Counsel, and Contractors.Bringing together updates from various workstreams to deliver information, analysis, and strategic guidance to team leaders, facilitating resource prioritization, effective communication of key priorities and interdependencies, risk and issue resolution, and escalation to relevant stakeholders as necessary.Required Qualifications and Experience:Experience in dynamic, project-oriented roles, including consulting for external clients or driving strategic internal initiatives.Proven track record of supporting senior client or internal stakeholders through various stages of scoping, planning, execution, and monitoring.Experience working across multiple geographic regions and time zones.Demonstrated ability to define programmatic approaches, assess key factors and constraints, and proficiently manage risks, issues, and dependencies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience in supervising junior team members, with a focus on their development and progression.Preferred Experience:Experience in Export Controls & Trade Compliance.Leadership experience on programs involving at least 10 full-time equivalents (FTE) or a $4 million budget, and ideally experience with programs involving over 20 FTE or an $8 million budget.Diverse programmatic experience, successfully delivering projects across external-facing, operational, and technology domains.Ability to establish and manage programmatic services, including defining approach, structure, and operations of a high-performing Project Management Office (PMO).Knowledge of operating models, talent strategy, learning and development, change management, communication frameworks, and organizational culture.Nice to have:Proficiency with project planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.Exposure to data analytics, including modeling and visualization.Familiarity with innovation management.Pursuit of or achievement in professional project management qualifications such as PRINCE or PMP at Practitioner levelAbout ElevateElevate provides consulting, technology and services to law departments and law firms across the globe.
