Trade Counter Assistant

We are looking for a full-time Trade Counter Sales Assistant with good communication skills and knowledge of the building trade.

\n

This is a key customer facing role within an often fast paced environment.

\n

\n

Salary: £11.44 per hour

\n

\n

Schedule:

\n

\n
• 40 Hours a week
\n
• 8 hour shifts
\n
• Day shifts
\n

\n

\n
• 5 days Monday to Sunday
\n

\n

The main duties will include;

\n

\n
• Meeting and greeting customers at the sales counter.
\n
• Assisting with face to face and telephone enquiries.
\n
• Providing customers with information and advice on stock availability and prices.
\n
• Loading the delivery vehicle.
\n
• If the candidate has a full clean driving licence they may be required to deliver goods to customers properties during very busy periods.
\n
• Unloading deliveries at the warehouse.
\n
• Pricing stock and putting it out for sale.
\n
• Help to maintain a well-stocked, clean, tidy and safe working environment.
\n

You will need :

\n

\n
• Knowledgeable of DIY, timber and building products is preferred but training will be given to the right candidate.
\n
• Be a team player who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.
\n
• Confident speaking to customers on the telephone and face to face.
\n
• Have a willingness to 'muck in' and carry out a variety of tasks.
\n
• Have the ability to engage with a broad customer base.
\n
• Be friendly and approachable.
\n
• Be able to work weekends.
