Trailer Fitter

Our client are a successful fleet workshop and maintenance service provider to the Transport sector

We are recruiting a Trailer Fitter to join their team based at their workshop facility in Newtownabbey.

Strong salary on offer for the successful candidate �36 - 37k range

12 hour day shifts across a 4 day week Monday to Thursday

29 Days holiday, overtime paid at 1.5, PSV bonus and company healthcare scheme

Suitable candidates will need mechanical experience working on HGV Trailers or similar equipment, with good fitting, welding and repair skills. You will be carrying out PSV work, inspections, servicing and mechanical repairs on a range HGV Trailers.

The Role

• Mechanical servicing and repairs on HGV Trailers
• Carry out PSV inspections
• Diagnose faults and repair effectively, some welding and body repairs
• Ensure Trailers are repaired to a high standard, road worthy and safe
• Record jobs cards and paperwork accurately
• Use tools effectively and safely, keeping in line with good health & safety practice

What we are looking for

• Mechanical experience on HGV Trailers
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, fitting and maintenance
• Knowledge of PSV/ MOT Trailer inspections
• Can work safely in a workshop setting
