We're proud to be partnering successful multi-site Accountancy Practice that operates throughout Yorkshire and that has a solid reputation of mentoring aspiring Accountants.
As a Trainee Accountant, you'll be working closely with the Accounts Manager who is responsible for a portfolio of clients, where you'll get exposure to both the Accounting and Audit side of the process. At the same time, the company will fund your studies right through to you becoming fully qualified.
This is an exciting opportunity work closely with senior members of the team who will mentor you and give you the support you need to grow with the firm.

TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• As a Trainee Accountant, you will be responsible for preparation of year end accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
• Involved in the Audit process for clients where you'll work closely with the audit partner to enhance your understanding, knowledge and experience.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Support with bookkeeping as and when required.
• Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.

THE PERSON:

• Current experience in a Trainee Accountant (or similar) would be ideal where an increased salary budget would be available, however, open to considering Graduates (relevant qualification) or individuals who are serious about a long-term career in Accountancy.
• A highly driven individual with a positive can-do attitude.
• Committed to a long-term career in Accountancy and willing to undertake formal qualifications.
• Naturally, you'll need to have solid numerical skills
• Highly diligent and hardworking individual
