This is a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Print Press Operator to work for a global leader in the manufacture of tags, labels, wristbands, and badges. As part of a small, high-performing team, you will play a crucial role in achieving daily production goals in terms of quality and quantity, meeting customer expectations while optimising efficiency.



During your day-to-day role as a Trainee Print Press Operator, you will receive the support you need to develop and enhance your skills. We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn about print production. We are more interested in your potential than in finding someone who is already the finished article.

What You'll Be Doing as a Trainee Print Press Operator



Reporting to the Production Team Leader, you will work in various areas of production under a level of supervision.



In this Trainee Print Press Operator role, you will:




  • Set up and operate production equipment

  • Monitor the production process and conduct quality checks

  • Clean and perform basic maintenance on work areas and machines

  • Report equipment faults to your Supervisor

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for improvement

  • Provide support to the Production Manager

Full training will be provided for the Trainee Print Press Operator role, but you should possess the following:




  • Previous experience as a skilled or semi-skilled production/machine operator

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions

  • A keen eye for detail

  • Basic computer skills

  • A willingness to take responsibility for ensuring quality control and adherence to company procedures

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Initiative to work independently when necessary

  • A safety-first attitude

  • A good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of quality

  • A desire to develop skills and knowledge to support business needs



Hours



Monday to Wednesday 06:00 - 16:00, Thursday 06:00 - 15:30.
