Trainee Quantity Surveyor�(Civils)

Our client, a family run civils and groundworks business based in Launceston, have an opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
You will need:
- A quantity surveying qualification
- Transport
Responsibilities:
- Costing:�Preparing weekly costs for materials, labor, plant, and subcontractors.�They also prepare cost reports for smaller projects.�
- Contract administration:�Administering and analyzing contracts, timesheets, tenders, pre-qualifying questionnaires, and price lists.�
- Communication:�Communicating with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.�
- Legal and regulatory compliance:�Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is followed.�
- Health and safety:�Prioritizing safety for oneself and others in the work environment.�
- Project development:�Working with the site team and factory teams to understand the modular build process.�
- Project budget management:�Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.�
- Project specifications:�Working closely with senior quantity surveyors to analyze project specifications and assess cost implications.�
- Subcontractor management:�Monitoring sub-contractors and stages of construction.�
- Travel:�Traveling to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Senior Management.�
