Trainee Quantity Surveyor�(Civils)

Salary:�Up to �30k

Our client, a family run civils and groundworks business based in Launceston, have an opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

You will need:

• A quantity surveying qualification


• Transport

Responsibilities:

• Costing:�Preparing weekly costs for materials, labor, plant, and subcontractors.�They also prepare cost reports for smaller projects.�


• Contract administration:�Administering and analyzing contracts, timesheets, tenders, pre-qualifying questionnaires, and price lists.�


• Communication:�Communicating with clients and colleagues to exchange financial construction-related information.�


• Legal and regulatory compliance:�Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance is followed.�


• Health and safety:�Prioritizing safety for oneself and others in the work environment.�


• Project development:�Working with the site team and factory teams to understand the modular build process.�


• Project budget management:�Assisting in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost estimates.�


• Project specifications:�Working closely with senior quantity surveyors to analyze project specifications and assess cost implications.�


• Subcontractor management:�Monitoring sub-contractors and stages of construction.�


• Travel:�Traveling to construction sites, Company fixed locations or other locations as requested by Senior Management.�
