A leading professional services firm are seeking to hire into a dynamic and exciting team, with this job role perfect for someone (newly ACA or ACCA) qualified in audit, tax or another advisory area who is keen to move into transaction services, due diligence and the wider corporate finance area. A career path offering strong earnings potential, quick career progression and highly engaging work, you will focus on due diligence projects servicing clients and working closely with corporates, private equity houses, financial institutions and entrepreneurs. The roles are commutable from Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas.


Transaction Services – The firm are able to hire at Executive or Manager level.


The role will involve working on financial deals, it is due diligence focused, so the firm are ideally looking for an ACA qualified, often from audit, but obviously any experience within TS or advisory areas is beneficial. You will have a strong commercial sense, an appetite for working on deals and a curiosity for how business works.


You will be comfortable with numbers, hopefully have reasonable experience working with excel, analysing data, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.


Good quality business English is required, with the ability to express yourself verbally.


Day to day:



  • Supporting a partner or director on delivering due diligence projects. You will get a lot of partner and director attention, there are no multiple layers of staff, so you are often operating as a number 2 on a project, not a number 4 as you might be in the TS department of a top 10 / top 4 firm. This means people can develop from executive to manager quickly, due to the accelerated experience.

  • The firm is more agile and flexible than many larger practices, there is no internal bureaucracy and it’s a dynamic environment for capable people who want to develop and gain strong experience.

  • This firm have a very good training programs, this is an important part of their culture, focusing on deal metrics, complex / personal skills in influencing, dealing with difficult situations and everything required to succeed in TS / CF.


You will be supported to develop your own brand and network, attending events and developing your network alongside the firm’s directors. You will seek to develop a peer group across the city and region in the professional services community.


The firm are getting more than their market share, are very busy on enquiries and have a long-established network locally.


Salary wise, Executives are typically paid around the Mid to late £40’s with bonus, based on firm and individual performance. This bonus can often be 10-15%, with pension, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and the offices have cycle storage and shower facilities in the office. Manager salaries can obviously be quite a lot higher and all applicants will be assessed on their experience and qualifications, with any job offer based on that.
