Transport Administrator
Job type: Temporary (6 Months)

Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm (45hours/Week)

Pay rate: £11.50/hr.

Location: Carlisle (Rural)
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills to work for a well-establish logistics business.
The role:

You will be responsible for liaising with customers and drivers, accurately recording date and providing an efficient administration support function.

 

• Ensuring all jobs are accurately recorded and that orders are updated


• Collating documentation including Consignment Notes and AML forms


• Booking in deliveries / collections as required


• Briefing and debriefing drivers


• Ensuring pricing tables are up to date and jobs are invoiced accurately as required


• Providing regular situation reports and updates to managers


• Downloading driver’s tachograph cards


• Complying with all health and safety rules and regulations


• Reporting any health and safety issues


• Undertake such other duties that are reasonably requested

Skills/Knowledge      

• The ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment


• Good written and verbal communication skills


• Excellent customer service skills


• A Professional telephone manner


• Strong IT skills
