Are you an experienced Transport Co-ordinator looking for a position that you can really make a difference in?Do you like the idea of joining the transport planning team for one of the biggest, fastest-growing names in logistics? Weare looking for someone like you.Were currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to be based at our customer site in Norwich, on our contract with Anglian Home Improvements. As part of this busy transport operation, youll primarily ensure the timely movement and loading of demountable boxes ready for delivery by our team of drivers across Monday Friday, 06:00 to 14:30.
Pay, benefits and more:
Were looking to offer a salary of £26,000per annum. In addition, we offer 25days holiday plus bank holidays. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a salary sacrifice car scheme, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What youll do on a typical day:
Control a team of shunter drivers on site to ensure that demountable boxes are presented for customer to load
Co-ordinate with loading bay teams to ensure boxes are loaded in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of box movements on site
Deal with telephone and email queries from customer and drivers
Liaise with external contractors re repair of vehicle defects and ensure vehicles are available for maintenance
Ensure that all vehicle inspections/MOT/Services are planned and completed.
Any other transport related administrative tasks
To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management
Provide cover for Transport Planner
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Experience of working in a complex transport environment
Proven experience within transport and an understanding of compliance and driver hours
Experience of transport planning systems (Desirable)
Thrive under pressure within a challenging environment and solve complex problem
