As night shift Transport FLM you'll develop the transport and provide effective communication, leadership, motivation, training and development in such a way that the operational effectiveness of the business is maintained, and that all daily targets are met.

As part of your key responsibilities youll:
Manage drivers to ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner to meet KPIs
Ensure quality standards are maintained in line with OTIF measures
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate requirements relating to transport
First point of contact for any supervisory staff queries
Asset tracking to ensure vehicles and trailers are available for scheduled servicing and maintenance
Managing and delivering the despatch and cage return plan
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Liaise with the Warehouse teams to ensure all loads are completed accurately and loaded on time
Communicate, apply, and enforce company policies
Compile reports as necessary for the business
Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
Liaise collaboratively with customer services to improve customer satisfaction levels in line with agreed business targets
Accountability for employee satisfaction levels by applying good Leadership and Employee engagement practices
Conduct Return to Work interviews and disciplinary investigations as required
Communicate and support the implementation of the Unipart Way

About You

Wed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!
Experience as a Transport First Line Manager
Experience of working in a fast-paced operation
Capability to plan, manage your own workload and communicate effectively to others
Knowledge of transport legislation, Working Time Directive, Drivers hours
Experience in employee relations and dealing with HR cases
Experience of dealing with accidents/incidents and overseeing the reporting and investigating
Computer literate in the Microsoft Office package, with the ability to learn in house systems
