Transport Manager

Hatched Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established commercial service provider and we're looking to speak with an experienced Transport Manager to oversee their logistics operations based from Slough HQ.

With a successful history spanning over 30 years, our partner has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across the UK. As their customer base continues to grow and encompass prestigious clients, they require experienced individuals to ensure smooth operations.

Your Responsibilities -

• Managing the transportation of goods efficiently
• Develop and implement transport strategies to meet company objectives
• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day transportation activities
• Manage a fleet of 25 Vehicles and 35 Drivers
• Monitor transport costs and performance to identify areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all transport activities -
• Manage a team of drivers and logistics staff effectively -
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations -
• Utilise computer systems to track shipments and communicate with stakeholders

Skills: -

• Strong supply chain management skills
• Excellent organisational abilities
• Effective leadership capabilities to lead a team
• Computer literacy, particularly in Outlook, Word, and IT systems
• Drive to achieve targets and improve processes
• Proficient in logistics operations and management

License/Certification:

• Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) (required)
