Transport Manager - Permanent Placement.

Recruit A Driver are looking for an experienced and organised Manager to join our Bradford based client on a permanent contract. If you have a passion for supporting a dynamic transport team and all things Logistics, we would love to hear from you!

About the role

As a Transport Manager for our client, you will:

• Maintain efficient operations while supporting our busy transport team.
• Oversee and support with administrative tasks, including managing documentation related to transport operations, safety compliance records, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and preparing reports.
• Liaise with different departments (such as logistics, HR, and finance) to ensure effective communication and smooth operation.
• Handle inbound and outbound communication with clients, drivers, vendors, and external partners in a professional manner.
• Assist in coordinating vehicle schedules, maintenance appointments, and driver schedules to ensure timely service delivery.
• Ensure that the company complies with health and safety regulations, as well as maintaining required certifications and licenses for operations.
• Assist with onboarding of new employees, including preparation of necessary documents, training schedules, and orientation materials.
• Assist the management team with preparing regular reports on transport performance, expenses, and other key operational metrics.

What you need to know:

• Start times: 07.00 starts
• Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, overtime may be required on occasions due to the nature of the industry.

What you must have:

• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Proven experience in management, preferably within the transport or logistics industry.
• Familiarity with transport management software or fleet management systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of basic HR, accounting, or logistics practices is a plus.
