This appointment is critical in supporting the expansion of the site and as the role is varied and fast-paced, it will require a very high calibre candidate that thrives in a dynamic environment, who can juggle multiple priorities but always has the customer at the heart of everything they do.
It is essential that you have experience within the transport and logistics sector, and preference will be given to CPC qualified professionals. You may be at a point in your career where you have gained experience, demonstrated successes both commercially, operationally and from a leadership perspective, but are now looking for that particular environment in which your goals and career aspirations can be realised and further supported and developed.
Reporting directly into the Site Manager, you will lead and manage the transport operations ensuring OTIF and service delivery commitments, support with the P&L and control costs within agreed budgets. You will ensure HR compliance, recruit, train and set objectives accordingly and onboard new customers. You will be experienced with regards to legislative compliance from a driver and vehicle perspective, monitor fuel consumption and ensure compliance to H&S policies. Additional duties will include fire safety, first aid, asset and facilities maintenance, stock control and the management of incoming and outgoing goods.
