Transport Manager

Pure are delighted to be working exclusively with a well established organisation based in Chelmsford who are looking for a Transport Manager to join their team.
Main Duties:

• Vehicles are loaded safety
• Route Optimisation
• Keeping records such as drivers hours, tacograph and PMI Inspections
• Maintaining current and new accreditations such as FORS.
• Measure, manage and communicate KPIs, metrics and report exceptions.
• Provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes.
• Health and Safety�
• Day-to-day, you will deal with all driver-related issues ensuring that all transport legislation is always adhered to ensuring fleet and driver compliance through active monitoring and reporting.
• Route planning for drivers; scheduling, monitoring & regulatory compliance, problem solving, checking documentation
• Maintenance of vehicles�
• To liaise with Depot Management and others in the transport team on a daily basis with regards to transport issues.

Key Requirements:

• Must have 3 years+ Transport Management experience
• Must have International CPC
• Health & Safety IOSH preferred
• A background operating at a management level is a must
• A passion for encouraging teamwork
• Ability to influence a team of drivers
• Excellent team management skill for developing you team
• Flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns when needed
