Transport Operator

Transport Operator Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced Transport Operator to join our team based in Corby. As a Transport Operator, you'll be responsible for supporting our customer, drivers and colleagues throughout the business. The Details: Location: Corby, NN17 Salary: £28,081.62 Per Annum / £14.40 Per Hour Hours: 13:00-21:00 Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Parking Onsite Monthly Pay Transport Operator Duties: Maintenance and Management of the Transport Management System (TMS) Ability to enter loads on Warehouse Planner Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources Ensuring customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled and recorded manner Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers Promote effective and efficient standards of work, in order to comply with transport legislation, company policy and Health & Safety legislation Managing Driver hours as per WTD rules To carry out investigations or incident reports in relation to any vehicle incidents when necessary Ensure all agency drivers are inducted correctly and Compliance is monitored Manage tachograph infringements to ensure full compliance Manage driver briefing / de-briefing including downloading driver digicards Co-ordinate drivers including managing holiday and sickness cover Preparing and submitting various KPI reports Record, monitor & be proactive in achieving improved fuel efficiency and better MPG Cross functional interaction (Warehouse / Drivers or Contractors / Customers) Transport Operator requirements: Valid Category C+E (Class 1) Drivers Licence with a maximum of 6 points, for insurance purposes Detailed understanding of the rules and regulation around drivers' hours Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role Previous experience working in a Transport Office Benefits: Pension Scheme Cycle2Work scheme Employee Assistance Program SPIRIT Awards - Peer to Peer recognition INCLUSION Menzies Distribution is committed to creating a fair and inclusive environment, where employees feel safe, proud and valued.
