Transport Operator

Transport Planner - Ipswich - Up to �35,000

Our client who are a nationwide transport company are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team in Ipswich, UK.

Job type: Permanent

Days: Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to �35,000

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Dealing with multiple drivers
• Communicating with ports
• Using a Transport system called TOPS for putting down drivers start times and finish times
• Chasing drivers for etas and making sure they are on time
• Rerouting jobs as and when is needed
• Checking all PODS are matched up with all the correct jobs on the system
• Speaking to customers on possible delays advising etc

We are looking for candidates to apply who have the following:

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner - Essential
• Confident and clear communicator - written and verbal
• Excellent UK geographical knowledge
• Can work on own initiative
• Quick and efficient problem solving skills
• Organised at all times
