Transport Planner - Newport

Job Description Woodland Logistics are recruiting a Transport Planner for our team in Thatcham, Berkshire. The Transport Planner will report to the Transport Manager and work closely with the Operations and Warehouse teams, to plan, direct and control the activities of the transport fleet including sub-contractors to optimise cost-effectiveness and use of resources. The Transport Planner must provide a high-quality service to both internal and external customers.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 48 hours per week.

Understand and fully utilise Woodland Logistics operating systems to the benefit of the operation.
Ensure the successful supervision and communication of work allocation at the site, making any necessary changes with Service and Cost at the forefront.
