Transport Planner

My client is a London based logistics company providing comprehensive and cost-effective shipping and transport service across the UK and Europe. Due to company growth, they are looking for a transport planner to join their transport and operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the efficient movement of goods, planning transportation routes, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Planning transportation routes for palletised shipments, ensuring all deliveries are cost effective and made on time.
• Coordinate and schedule pallet shipments, considering weight, size, and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor and manage company vehicles, ensuring they are properly maintained, and comply with safety regulations.
• Communicate with customers to provide delivery updates and resolve any transportation-related issues.
• Track KPIs and meet company deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and transportation-related activities.

Requirements

• Experience in transport planning, and pallet network experience.
• Strong IT knowledge, and experience using transport planning softwares.
• Having the ability to muti-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Company Remunerations

• Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, Saturday overtime (6am-11am) is available too.
