Transport Planner

Wild Recruitment have partnered up with haulage company based in Dunstable. We are supporting this great brand with their search for a Transport Planner. We are looking for someone who has previous experience with Artics and HIAB. The ideal candidate will have CPC qualification.

Position: Transport Planner

Hours: 9:00-17:00 Monday - Friday (due to nature of the business applicant will be expected to be contacted 24/7)

Salary: Up to �36,000 depending on experience

Duties of Transport Planner:-

• Ensure all orders received have a transport provider allocated, working in partnership with another transport planner.
• Plan the route of deliveries.
• Responsible for ensuring their fleet of vehicles are booked for scheduled servicing and maintenance.
• Rota planning including holiday and sickness cover
• Complete driver debriefs
• Arrange 3rd party carriers when required.
• Provide exceptional customer service and be able to communicate well on all levels

The ideal candidate for this role must have:-

• Experience of route planner
• Great knowledge of WTD, Road Transport regulation, geographical knowledge of UK road network
• A confident Excel user
• CPC qualification preferable
• Ability to work under own initiative and well under pressure
