DK recruitment is looking for an accomplished transport planner with experience in planning FTL and LTL. The client is running express freight service. 

For this role domestic OR international backgrounds would be suitable. 
Description: 
As transport planner you will be allocating own fleet resources to cover collections from customers across our clients allocated area. You will be considering driver hours, unit compatibility and specific customer requirements and driver qualifications. 
You will be informing drivers with instructions and POD management, which is a big key part of the role. 
You will be informing the customer in a personable manner and updating them on collection/delivery ETA's. 
Our client is looking for Monday - Friday OR Tuesday - Saterday shift pattern. The office is operational from 06:00 - 20:00, and will be contracted for 42.5 hours.

Experience Requirements

At least two years experience in road freight transport planning, ideally 40ft artic vehicles.

Transport Management CPC is not a requirement for the role, but the candidate should have a working knowledge of Tacograph Regulations.

An understanding of basic Customs Protocols would be an advantage.

Previous experience dealing with temperature controlled or pharmaceutical goods would be an advantage but is not a requirement. Training will be provided in this area for compliance purposes.
