Transport Planner

Major Talent are looking for a Transport Planner to join a long-standing food company in Staffordshire. As a Transport Planner you will aim to minimise costs through efficient transport planning.

As a Transport Planner, you will:

• Provide efficient transport plan that meets customer demand
• Optimize transport costs in collaboration with third party logistics supplier.
• Record all outbound vehicle movements and associated costs
• Raising PO's for transport costs and resolving inconsistences
• Processing transport claims and updating trackers
• SAP housekeeping to include monitoring & clearing of information documents, stock control, and packaging queries.
• Provision of holiday and absence cover in customer services.
• Use of customer portals to book and manage orders.
• Flag potential order shorts an liaise with planning team to resolve.
• Manage stakeholder expectations
• Consolidate deliveries

A successful Transport Planner will have:

• Experience within Transport Planning
• Experience using SAP & Excel
• Work to deadlines and have great problem-solving skills

Salary - �29,250 per annum
