Transport Planner - Permanent Placement

The team at Recruit A Driver are looking for a Transport Planner to join our Leeds based client on a permanent placement. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing fleet utilisation by establishing backhaul lanes, whilst working with hauliers and internal departments. About the role

• Managing customer collections and covering loads with subcontractors.
• Establishing backhaul lanes to increase fleet utilisation.
• Working with the company network for efficient outbound load coverage.
• Reviewing vehicle earnings and revenue reports.
• Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and managing customer orders.

What you need to know:

• Start times: 10:00am - 18.30pm
• Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
• Salary: £28,000

What you must have:

You must a proven track record in transport planning and experience in a busy transport office environment.

• General haulage experience is essential
• Strong commercial awareness
• Experience using transport management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills
