Transport Planner
Up to £35,000 basic salary DOE + 10% bonus

Outsource UK is seeking experienced transport planners who have experience working for a logistics/freight company.
Prior experience as a Transport Planner is required to apply for this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and dynamic team in the Freight sector.
Overview of the role:
Working as a support function for the internal departments and working with the intermodal Manager to manage transport booking requirements
Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and shipping lines
Quality control and ensuring the company meets transport bookings without fail
Haulage allocation
Completing all requirements or offering alternative options to be completed
Supplier KPI monitoring
Developing and maintaining relationships with all suppliers and shipping lines
Key skills and qualifications required:
Strong customer service skills as well as a real attention to detail
Possesses strong computer skills
Prior experience in transport planning for a logistics/freight company
Knowledge of hauler booking requirements
Strong numerical and commercial skills
Good telephone manner
Able to work to tight deadlines and accuracy when doing so
