Exciting Opportunity for Transport Planner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a Transport Strategy and Policy Team (TSaP) in Leicester. This role will primarily focus on supporting the delivery of the team's plan, goals, and objectives, with particular emphasis on the development and implementation of the Multi Modal Area Investment Plans (MMAIPs) programme under the newly adopted LTP4. 

The main duties of the Transport Planner are:

·Assist in the development and implementation of the MMAIPs programme.
·Support the development of transport priorities and solutions at the local geographical level.
·Contribute to the creation and adoption of focused strategies and transport investment plans.
·Interpret transport strategy and policy to ensure alignment with delivery teams and stakeholders.
·Provide support on the identification and development of schemes at the feasibility stage.
·Assist in the prioritisation processes required for delivering the investment plans.
·Support project management processes, including governance and delivery.
·Help engage in public consultation and facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The Transport Planner will have key experience in:

·Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing integrated transport investment and delivery plans.
·Experience in prioritising and managing the delivery of transport investment plans.
·Familiarity with the development of schemes at the feasibility stage.
·Understanding of project management and governance processes.
·Experience in public consultation and engagement.
·Collaborative working and co-development with internal and external partners.
