About the Role
    \n
  • The Travel & Reservations Consultant is responsible for managing the booking process for Urban Rest properties and being the liaison between customers and the company until the point of booking. Their main focus is on assisting clients with booking requests and successfully converting these into bookings for Urban Rest properties. They use relationships and selling techniques to ensure customer satisfaction during this phase and successfully hit conversion rate targets. The Travel & Reservations Consultant also assists clients with arranging of ancillary services such as private transfers, mid-stay cleans and meet & greet services.

  • Responsibilities
  • \n
  • Building a deep understanding of the Urban Rest product offering in order to match products to customer booking requests and continuously communicating the value of Urban Rest.
  • \n
  • Generate quotes and respond to individual quote requests by customers via email, telephone and web chat.
  • \n
  • Work with travel partners to ensure that quotes are submitted within the various client frameworks, required format and appropriate channels based on their individual needs.
  • \n
  • Make reservations in the property management system and trigger invoices and booking confirmations to customers and guests.
  • \n
  • Optimise inventory where appropriate in partnership with the Reservations and Customer Success Manager as well as Revenue & Distribution team.
  • \n
  • Book and organise ancillary services for clients such as airport transfers, grocery deliveries, mid-stay cleans and Meet & Greet services.
  • \n
  • Manage invoices and payments for bookings with clients including keeping track of unpaid invoices and chasing payment.
  • \n
  • Use sales techniques to maintain a set conversion rate for bookings and optimise revenue generation for the company. Cross sell locations where required and upsell additional services.
  • \n
  • Work closely with the Sales and Account Management teams to optimise the booking process for corporate clients and travel partners.
  • \n
  • Following up on outstanding quotes and appropriately documenting the reasons for a lost opportunity.

Must have:

  • Availability to work a 7 day roster
  • \n
  • Very strong relationship skills; ability to manage different types of stakeholders and personalities
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills
  • \n
  • Problem solving skills; being able to find solutions to alleviate pain points for clients
  • \n
  • Flexible: being able to handle large volumes of emails and calls and prioritise appropriately
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail
