Responsibilities
Group Travel Trade Manager Midlands will be responsible for driving the revenue performance of the UK Contract and Retail Wholesale dealer network, in line with the Compass Hospitality Group UK Strategy.
Using a consultative sales approach, the Group Travel Trade Manager Midlands will manage the Midlands Contracts and Retail Wholesale dealer network, acting as an ambassador for the company, to grow brand awareness and to educate these partners on Compass Hospitality's distinguished product offerings ensuring retail displays are regularly updated and endorsed by the Hotel teams.
This role will involve frequent travel, The Group Travel Trader Manager Midlands will be responsible for scouting and acquiring new Contract and Retail Wholesale dealer accounts, as well as managing and growing an existing portfolio of Contract and Retail Wholesale dealer accounts.
The Group Travel Trade Manager Midlands will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Main Activities
Account management of contract and retail wholesale dealers and procurement firms, in alignment with the UK wholesale strategy, outlined by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Conduct product presentations and lunch & learns for wholesale dealer network and from time-to-time targeted GTO firms, collaborating with the Midland Hotels General Managers in properties to increase project conversion.
Hold quarterly business review meetings with key wholesale partners, identifying opportunities, as well as threats to annual sales performance and raising main blockers with Compass Hospitality where necessary.
Ensuring brand continuity within the UK wholesale network; allocating resources according to dealer level, including access to brand marketing materials, etc;
Maximise business development opportunities for the Midlands wholesale dealer network by initiating hotel events and networking opportunities, including attending local trade shows and industry events, etc;
Oversee the full sales cycle, from specification and quoting, through to purchase and delivery; mitigate potential issues and propose solutions in a timely and effective manner.
Maintain and update CRM database with project information, visit report and client contact database.
Experience and Education
Ideally Min. 2-3 years experience in the role, preferably selling Groups/FIT With experience in budget and star hotels.
Existing relationships within GTOs is a must and wholesale firms in the UK;
Proven sales history.
KPI driven
Excellent relationship builder with the hotel teams and GTOs.
Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite) and good knowledge of CRM tools.
