About the Role
The role of Tutor Quality and Data Coordinator is crucial in ensuring the success and effectiveness of our tutoring programs. Working together with our Teaching Services Manager and our Senior Lecturer and Education Consultant, the role is pivotal in ensuring the success in the delivery of Learnas Higher Education courses by evaluating our Programme Leads and Tutors, providing comprehensive support and continuous performance quality improvement to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
The role is also responsible for ensuring that all performance data is gathered, analysed, maintained and effective action plans developed with the Teaching Services Manager to bring continued service improvement. In turn, this greatly assists the Teaching Services Manager in the effective scheduling of the best, relevant tutors to Learna programmes. This role requires a strong blend of interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including senior medics and academics. By providing comprehensive support, and performance feedback to Programme Leads and Tutors, you will contribute to the academic achievement and personal development of our students, thereby making a difference in the lives of learners.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain effective relationships and continue to work closely with both existing and prospective Programme Leads, Tutors and University Partners; be a valuable point of contact offering guidance, assistance, and troubleshooting support as needed.
Discuss findings and concerns with our Senior Lecturer and Education Consultant (SLEC) and when appropriate, communicate performance issues directly to tutors, escalating any ongoing training and development needs back to the (SLEC).
Support and analyse the data gathered for evaluating tutor performance such as student feedback surveys and observation protocols. Identify areas for additional support for existing Programme Leads and Tutors to help Programme Leads and Tutors refine their skills and delivery knowledge.
Coordinate scheduling for coaching sessions with the SLEC.
Support the Teaching Services Manager in updating and maintaining tutor guidance documents and CPD material.
Maintain the currency and accuracy of the Tutor Database by working together with our Education Resourcing Manager.
Support all members within the Teaching Services Team, assist with the quality assurance of final student grades, and provide guidance and feedback to tutors to help improve the quality of summative assessments.
Support our Tutor Support and Training Coordinator with a variety of tasks or queries including the tutors onboarding and training processes.
Take ownership for your personal on-going professional development and learning.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and legal requirements governing teaching services, including those related to diversity, and inclusion.
To support the Teaching Services Manager to include deputising, if required, during absence.
Evaluate tutor performance and maintain accurate records on the tutor database.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Communication Skills:liaising with colleagues, existing, new and potential tutors, programme leads and other key stakeholders.
Organisational Skills:ability to manage resources, schedules, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Problem-Solving:capacity to identify issues, analyse problems, and develop effective solutions to improve teaching services and address challenges.
Data Analysis:ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data related to Tutor performance, such as programme effectiveness and other relevant metrics to provide support to teaching staff
Interpersonal Skills:build positive relationships with colleagues, Programme Leads, Tutors, and external partners to foster a supportive learning environment;
Familiarity with relevant digital platforms and software for effective evaluation, assessment, and the associated administrative tasks.
Flexibility to adapt to changing educational trends, policies, Programme Lead andTutor needs, and to innovate tutor development practices accordingly.
Awareness of cultural diversity and the ability to promote inclusivity and equity in induction and onboarding practices;
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and external stakeholders to enhance Learnas quality of Teaching and Learning.
