Job Outline & Purpose:
To deliver NCFE Sport & Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) - Level 3
To compile and assess tutorial, & work experience curriculums
To deliver engaging and effective training sessions to groups
To develop English and Maths skills of students, and deliver Functional Skills sessions where appropriate
Contribute towards ensuring excellent student attendance & retention
To safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Training:
To plan and deliver excellent engaging, effective and innovative group training sessions to students that accommodates students' individual needs, including SEND and support requirements
To deliver training that meets criteria and standards for NCFE Sport & Physical Activity (Sports Coaching) Level 3
To deliver training that meets the criteria and standards for tutorial & work experience curriculums
To ensure that students' work-skills are developed and that they are ready for working life, and/or higher education study by the time they leave Juniper
To plan and facilitate engaging schemes of work
To develop students' Maths and English skills, and deliver Functional Skills sessions where appropriate
Arrange and facilitate motivational visits/activities
Assessment:
To conduct & use initial assessment effectively and set students appropriate, but challenging, targets & goals
To assess readiness and map units for NCFE portfolio and provide regular supportive, constructive feedback to develop students' knowledge, skill and behaviours
To conduct and document meaningful student reviews where appropriate
Attendance/Retention:
Ensure that student attendance & retention targets are met, with absences robustly followed up and effective interventions being deployed
Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG):
Assist and empower students to fulfil their potential by increasing expectations and raising aspirations
To know and understand where to access local and national support agencies to ensure all students access to good, quality IAG about learning and work to improve their employability potential, achieve personal ambitions and help to their next step
To signpost and refer students who need support and document this, as per procedure
Progression:
To ensure all students progress to a positive destination
Undertake networking & marketing activities, including social media, to keep up to date with progression opportunities
Monitor student's programme end date to ensure progression is timely
Undertake tracking of students who have left programme and provide on-going support
Administration:
To complete all required documentation in accordance with laid down procedures to meet both contractual and internal requirements including ILPs, Learner Support Packs, reviews, trackers, student surveys and course reviews
Targets:
To achieve targets to meet KPIs
Essential:
Experience of delivering Sport up to Level 3
Experience of working in Sport Industry
Qualifications:
Minimum Level 2 English and Maths
Needs min Level 3 Sport qual
Qualifications (within 6 months):
Level 4 Teaching qualification

To deliver effective training sessions to groups
Excellent communicator
To persuade & influence others and deal with conflict/challenging behaviour
To build rapport with target group and retain their attention during training sessions
To work well under pressure

To meet targets and provide a quality service to all stakeholders
Children, young people and vulnerable adults and full training will be provided as part of our onboarding process.
Candidates with experience or relevant job titles of; Tutor, Head of Careers, Head of Courses, College Team Leader, College Trust Coordinator, Volunteer Recruitment Officer, College Recruiter, College Selection, Assessor, Apprenticeship Assessor, Employment Tutor, General Administration, College Assessor, Course Promoter, Business Development, Customer Relationship Officer, will all be considered.
