Their team combines modern tools and methodologies with proven principles to deliver exceptional data engineering solutions.The Role:Establish trusted partnerships with clients, engaging with everyone from data custodians and analytical users to senior executives.Work autonomously within a compact team to tackle complex data engineering projects across diverse industries.Architect and develop the analytical infrastructure, including cloud data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and workflow automation tasks.Utilize advanced tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Fivetran, and dbt, and gain certifications to validate your expertise.Code in SQL, Python, and Spark, adhering to software engineering best practices such as version control (Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).Assist in the deployment of data science and machine learning projects into production environments.Note: You will not be creating machine learning models or algorithms.About You:My client are forming a diverse team of driven individuals who have a deep understanding of business problems and a passion for solving them. You are enthusiastic about contributing to a growing team and establishing best practices.As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be expected to independently manage client projects, participate in the development of theirpractice, support business development activities, and bring innovative ideas and initiatives to their organization.Skills and Experiences:Proven experience in managing stakeholders and collaborating with clients.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.3+ years of experience with relational databases and query languages.3+ years of experience in building production data pipelines and handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.3+ years of experience in data modeling (e.g., star schema, entity-relationship).3+ years of experience writing clean, maintainable code in Python, Scala, Java, or similar programming languages.Ability to independently manage a workstream.Proficiency in software engineering concepts and best practices.Experience with DevOps is a plus.Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS Redshift, Microsoft Synapse) preferred.Experience with cloud ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, Informatica, Talend) preferred.Experience with Azure cloud platform and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.Familiarity with Apache Spark is an advantage.Experience in preparing data for analytics and following a data science workflow to achieve business outcomes is a plus.Consulting experience is highly desirable.If you feel like this would be a good fit for you, please do get in touch with a CV asap.
