Claxton are looking to hire a Facilities Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based in Great Yarmouth, covering both Great Yarmouth and Aberdeen facilities, the Facilities Manager will manage the compliance of company facilities in line with legislation and QHSE requirements. This role ensures that all Claxton and Probe UK facilities are well maintained, safe, and functional. Additionally, the manager will provide line management support for both the Facilities and Reception teams


Duties & Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee and co-ordinate the facilities management of the Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth facilities. Including repair, routine maintenance, and special projects.
  • Line management and development of the Facilities, Maintenance and Reception teams.
  • Act as a local focal point for all fault reporting and requests for work to be undertaken through a tracker system
  • Managing the appointed Facilities Management company for the UK sites
  • Ensuring timely closure of recommended actions following inspection and service visits by third party contactors and internal inspections
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a facility management programme
  • Maintain the facilities asset database and ensuring that all documentation is filed correctly
  • Ensure that onsite contractors have the relevant permit to work, certification and RAMS before commencing work.
  • Performance managing vendors to ensure that agreed service levels are achieved and improvements made
  • Ensure site compliance with Health and Safety standards, industry codes and internal policies
  • Drive initiatives within the function to improve efficiency, customer experience, and reduce cost alongside the Group SCM
  • Preparing and managing the facilities budget for each site
  • Working closely with vendors to ensure that contracts are negotiated and agreed for services
  • Record and report utilization such as waste management and energy, identifying areas of reduction where possible
  • Carrying our workplace inspections to promote safe working and identification of facility improvements.
  • Promoting and implementing energy efficiency initiatives and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.


Required

  • Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Understanding of CDM regulations
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations.
  • A least 5 years proven experience within a facilities role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of general building systems and maintenance.
  • Good Microsoft skills, including, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt and amend workload priorities in a regularly changing environment
