Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently working with a globally recognised manufacturer in their search for a UK Multisite General Manager.
This is a pivotal role for the business, as UK General Manager you will report into group and will have full accountability for the UK’s multisite business. With a collective UK t/o of c£150m this UK General Manager must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to achieve demanding targets and growth plans preferably with a background in aerospace, defence, energy, oil & gas.
This UK General Manager’s key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Deploy the Group’s goals and objectives through strategic, lean, operational roll out across your teams and sites within.
- Responsible for P&L across this multi-site operation.
- Lead and develop a multi disciplined workforce, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Manage customer, supplier and sub-contractor relationships to enhance business performance and efficiency.
- Coordinate strategic and tactical activities across various departments including operations, health & safety, supply chain, quality, engineering, maintenance, facilities and logistics.
- Implement and monitor lean principles and metrics (OEE, TPM, Labour Productivity, Digital throughput, status KPIs).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs and increase profitability.
Parkinson Lee Executive Search are keen to speak with individuals that have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior leadership role within aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably supplying into metal and/or energy sectors.
- Strong business acumen with a track record of driving operational efficiency and profitability.
- You will have demonstrable skills in site-wide operational transformation, increasing productivity and variable cost reductions with improvements made in RFT performance, Quality, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance
- You will have excellent strategic and tactical planning abilities.
- Demonstrated success in managing P&L and achieving financial targets.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in lean methodologies and metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
