We are looking for qualified counsellor to work flexibility with students at the University of Salford. This role is all short-term based interventions to encourage students on their path of self development and find solutions to manage their anxieties and stresses. Randstad is on the search for counsellors ready to join an exciting opportunity, working flexibly with university students providing counselling and mental health services on a one-one basis specific to the individual's needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic counselling support to students experiencing emotional and mental health issues based on their own unique needs.
- Working 1:1 on certain issues such as transition, anxiety, self help, self-esteem, eating distress, procrastination and exam panic.
- Empathising with the students over their personal and emotional needs while working alongside with the student to promote self help, using self help tools.
- Following risk assessment and safeguarding escalation processes stated by both Randstad and the university the student attends
- Maintaining a confidential approach at all times when working with the students or discussing any information with any other members of staff. Meeting all GDPR requirements
Requirements
- Membership of BACP or NCPS
- Monthly clinical supervision in order to maintain your professional standards
- Minimum of 200 clinical hours
Desirable
- Enhanced DBS check
- Keeping up to date with developments in your area of practice and contributing to improvements of operations in the team.
- Experience of counselling in University setting and experience of caseload management.
- Ability to triage student needs quickly and appropriately
- Risk assessment and management skills
