Prospero Teaching are recruiting for an unqualified Science Teacher to work in a secondary SEMH provision in Blackley. The school caters for young people with social, emotional and mental health issues.This is a great role for those who want to gain experience as a Science Teacher, and want to go down the assessment only route to QTS .
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be running Science Lessons for students aged 11-16 years old. The class sizes are quite small, around 6-10 students. All the students have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) that you will be able to refer to when teaching them.
Some students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, or have mental health issues that result in some challenging behaviour, so you will also have to be prepared to manage that behaviour and provide mentoring and pastoral support for the young people.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional references
