Connex Education is working with a Secondary Schools in the Middlesbrough area and are recruiting for unqualified teachers for general cover to work during term time. The role is to start in September for the new academic year.

About the school

As an unqualified teacher with Connex you will be working with schools around the Middlesbrough area. The school is currently looking to fill an ongoing temporary role for general cover. The ideal candidate  someone who shares the same passion and values for education. They are looking for a teachers who are hard working, resilient and who want to make a difference to students education. The right candidate will be able to confidently step into the different departments and continue teaching the existing schemes of work for multiple subjects.

Assignment Details

As an unqualified teacher, you will be responsible for effectively delivering instruction to secondary school students across Key Stages 3-4. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities, and employ a range of teaching methods to facilitate pupil learning. The successful applicant will have a  strong teaching background and be confident in covering numerous subject areas. Excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to build positive rapport with Students

Person Specification

• Be 21 or over 
• You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
• Have a degree within a relevant school subjects 
• Have excellent behaviour management and classroom control skills
• Excellent communication skills in both written and oral English 
• Be able to have excellent classroom management
• Be able to think on your feet 
• Confident enough to manage a classroom on your own 
• Flexible to suport schools as and where needed within school
