UX Designer (Developer Experience)

Please note this role is for someone based in London that is happy to work in person 1-3 days per week.👀 Position OverviewWe're looking for a UX/UI Designer with experience working on developer tools, complemented by strong Visual Designer skills. You will work alongside technical colleagues from Developer Relations and Engineering to research, design, test, and build delightful experiences across the whole user journey from discovery to adoption. In addition to your UX expertise, you will apply your visual design skills to create engaging and aesthetically pleasing marketing pages, ensuring a cohesive and attractive user interface that aligns with our brand identity.🚀 What you’ll work onWorking in the platform squad, you will:Obsess over the developer experience on the website, docs site, and the platform.Apply your visual design skills to create visually appealing and user-friendly marketing pages.Review data and videos to remove friction.Recruit and interview users to collect qualitative feedback.Use design thinking methods to identify solutions to user friction.Build wireframes and conduct user tests to evaluate proposed improvements, ensuring both functional and aesthetic excellence.🤩 What will make you a great fitYou will be an outstanding UX design practitioner with complete mastery of the basics, a passion for qualitative and quantitative research, and strong visual design skills. The ideal candidate would have:Perfect alignment with our three core values.Strong visual design skills for creating engaging marketing pages and cohesive user interfaces.Experience with managing/contributing to design systems and building prototypes.A degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a similar discipline.At least 3+ years of professional experience within a design team.Highly proficient with Figma.A passion for fast-paced UX design fundamentals (research, design, test, iterate).Experience in designing developer tools with APIs, Docs, CLI, etc.Good knowledge of developer tools and data technology ecosystems.Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.🏎 What will make you a perfect fitProficiency in using website builders and CMS platforms like Webflow or similar tools.Experience with HotJar, Posthog, BigQuery, Looker, or similar product analytics tools.Skills in producing and editing videos for developers, enhancing learning and engagement through multimedia content.Previous experience in a startup, or small and agile design team.A passion for continuing to learn new skills, software and technologies.Experience working in international and multicultural settings.🤔 What’s next?Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable candidate experience is important to us.
