Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Valuation Surveyor to work with Warrington Council on a temporary basis. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri).



The post is located within the Property & Estate Management Service at the Council. The primary functions of this post are to provide estates and valuation input to the property team at a senior, technical level with a focus on Asset Management, high level valuation work for acquisition, disposal and property management and accounting.



Main Duties:




  • Assisting in the development of the Council’s Asset Management Plan to ensure the effective and efficient management of the Council’s property portfolio

  • Supporting and assisting the comprehensive review of the Council’s land and property portfolio to meet strategic objectives, implementing the outcomes from the review

  • Working with clients and services to understand their requirements and identify their service needs for accommodation and associated resources.

  • Working with other services and partners to develop plans to implement step changes in the utilisation of property to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Council’s assets

  • Managing projects from inception to delivery and to be involved in the review of the use of assets by internal and external clients.

  • To provide professional valuation and property management services (including the disposal and acquisition of land and property, statutory valuations, CPO and the management of the Council’s property portfolio)

  • Providing and presenting reports to the Cabinet and other clients as required

  • To work with appropriate internal and external agencies, and to participate in joint working and partnership arrangements



Essential Criteria:




  • Previous experience in similar valuation surveying role within a public sector organisation

  • MRICS qualified, or equivalent experience

  • Expert knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and valuation techniques

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
