Valve Fitter/Technican



About the Role:



We are seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of various types of industrial valves. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot valve-related issues efficiently.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble a variety of industrial valves, including but not limited to control valves, gate valves, ball valves, check valves, and pressure relief valves.

  • Conduct testing and calibration of valves to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

  • Perform on-site and in-house troubleshooting and maintenance of valve systems.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to execute repairs effectively.

  • Utilize specialized tools and equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship.

  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.

  • Document service reports, test results, and inspection findings accurately.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to optimize valve performance.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers as needed.



Key Requirements:




  • HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent preferred.




  • Experience: hands-on experience in valve maintenance, repair, and servicing. Mechanical Engineering 

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of industrial valves and their applications

  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and fluid control technologies.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve valve-related issues efficiently.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in workshop and field environments, including occasional travel if required.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Previous experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Water Treatment, or Manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA, and quality assurance procedures.

  • Ability to operate lifting equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
