Van Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for several dedicated van drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, with weekend availability. 9am starts (8-10 hour shifts).

Pay Rate: �11.44 per hour PAYE.

Location: Carlisle, CA6.

Job Type: Temp to perm with employed or self-employed opportunities.

The role:

• Specialising in courier work across England and Scotland.


• Upon successful completion of the probation period, the position will transition to a set rota schedule.


• Perform 60-100 stops per day, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and collections.


• Utilise electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) systems to manage deliveries.


• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.


• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.


• Manage time efficiently to ensure all deliveries are completed within the scheduled hours.

Requirements:

• A valid UK driver's license with 1-year proven van experience.


• Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).


• Strong communication and customer service skills.


• Physical ability to manually load and unload vehicles.


• Excellent time management and organisational skills
