Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Mechanic to join a leading supplier of prestige vehicles in Rochdale. Excellent benefits on offer, including a generous commission structure, subsidised car schemes and more!
This is a full time, permanent role working Monday to Friday 8.30am 5.30pm and alternate Saturdays 8.30am 12.30pm with a salary of £31,200 plus commission £35,200 OTE.
As Vehicle Mechanic, you will join the service department and be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. As Vehicle Mechanic, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid checks, according to manufacturer guidelines.
Performing complex repairs and replacements, including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and brake system repairs.
Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
Completing service and repair orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work is performed to the highest quality standards.
Following safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Keeping abreast of advancements in automotive technology and participating in training programs to maintain and enhance your skills.
Providing exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
Previous experience working in a similar role within the automotive sector (Vehicle Mechanic, Vehicle Technician)
City & Guilds in Automotive Maintenance & Repair is required
City & Guilds Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance is required
Full UK drivers license essential
