As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards while delivering exceptional customer service. As an independent garage that has operated over 30 years, they offer a wide range of services, including MOT testing for Class 4 vehicles, comprehensive vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for all makes and models. Their team of skilled technicians is committed to delivering exceptional workmanship and outstanding customer service.

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, your hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. There is no weekend or work over Bank Holidays. You’ll receive 28 days holiday, plus time off over Christmas. 

A benefit to this role is being able to use the workshop for personal use around your working hours.

As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, your responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine servicing, advanced diagnostics, and repairs on engines, brakes, suspension, and other key systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
• Conduct MOT inspections in compliance with regulations, assessing emissions, brakes, lights, and overall roadworthiness with precision and care.
• Efficiently diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, addressing complex challenges with onboard systems to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring tools are well-maintained and health and safety standards are upheld.

The ideal Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will possess:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• A valid class MOT testing licence and a full UK driving licence.
