Vehicle Technician

Our client a family run business with over 40 years’ experience in the motor industry.

Are looking for a skilled, experienced and reliable Vehicle Technician / MoT Tester to join their based in Blackburn.

They pride themselves in being an Independent BMW & Mini Specialist garage that can provide an alternative dealership experience. As well as looking after a wide range of other makes and models of vehicles.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carrying out Vehicle servicing, replacement of brakes, clutches, tyres, cambelts and general vehicle repairs.


• Carrying Vehicle diagnostic.


• MOT tester preferred, but not essential.


• Carrying out paper and digital management of customer, vehicle and parts information.


• Management of tracking and security of vehicle keys.


• Ensuring the workshop is clean and complies with Health & Safety Regulations.


• Liaising with Service Adviser to ensure that jobs are managed in a timely manner.


• Professional and presentable appearance with good communication skills.


• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.


• Reporting to the Master Technician.


• Working in a safe and tidy manner.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualified in Vehicle Maintenance and repair.


• MOT Tester preferred, but not essential as training will be given.


• F-Gas preferred, but not essential as training will be given.

About the Role:

• Full time – Permanent position.


• Salary up to £40,000 pa depending on experience and qualifications.


• Hours of work 7.30am – 17.00pm Monday to Friday (No weekends).


• 40 Hours per week.


• Full clean UK Driving Licence required.
